My last update was filled with a list of jobs that would be done last week.
None of them were done! In fact there were 8 days where the house sat untouched!
That's not good for the stress levels when you have paid for 90% of the house + rent + land repayments.
Finally on Saturday there were tilers there again. They tiled 2 niche in the showers and the bath in the main bathroom. They still need to do the mosaic splashbacks in the bathrooms and grout.
Our supervisor had originally said mid-late November for handover, I doubt that will be the case!
It's frustrating considering our lease expires on the 8th of November.
There is still so much to do, and lots of half jobs done....
Remember the carpenter who was doing the cladding.....the one who started in August.... Well he hasn't finished yet!!
We've been "locked up" for just over a month but there is no sign of our front door, due to a supplier problem and an error in the brickwork to the front of the house which means our door frame won't fit, so bricks need to be knocked out and re-done.
It's disappointing to see other quality builders who started after us with compariable houses (in size and detail) are wizzing past.
We picked this builder based on the speed of build, but it seems that construction time is a lot slower than we were initially anticipating.
Could it be due to the builders undertaking their own turn key developments in neighbour areas?
Fingers crossed things fly this week...
In good news my blog has now hit over 10,000 views! Thank you so much for sharing my journey, I feel very humbled that people take the time to read and contact me to ask further questions.
